How We Enjoy Camping.

Backpacking is simplest type of camping When backpacking,
we pack everything we need into a pack or other item we
can carry and hike to the camp site. Your tent, sleeping
bag, food, food preparation supplies, and hygiene are all
carried with you. I like to take the mini fishing pole and
with all the new small and light weight gadgets, and
freeze dried food, you can easily carry enough for an
extended retreat.

If you Tent Camp you don't need to carry it all on your
back. So, you can bring more bulky items, because you drive
to the campsite. You pack up a car load and drive to your
favorite secluded spot, and enjoy the extra comforts. I
like the addition of an Ice chest with cool drinks and
other goodies that stay good with the cold storage. You
can usually have a campfire and roast Hotdogs on an open
fire. I like to enjoy the great outdoors, without all the
work of backpacking.

Tent Trailer Camping is for those of us who want the
outdoor experience, with more of the comforts of home. Tent
trailers are light, compact, and can be pulled my most
smaller vehicles. Most of them have heat, water, and when
plugged in, many other comforts like a refrigerator, and
air conditioning. some even have a toilet. They set up in
minutes, and still give you the sound of outside, like a
tent.

When you reach a travel trailer, or 5th wheel. you know you
are serious about comfort. It is bringing all the comforts
of home, It can stay packed, and you can even pack up to
leave by just throwing everything inside and going. The
roadside stops are much better, and the hot water shower
makes it all worth while. You will probably need a good
sized vehicle to tow it. and you will want to make sure
that it is set up with the tow package. Travel trailers are
a great way to see the country, and be at home along the
way.

Motor home camping is similar to the trailer with a few
differences. The plusses include room for the family to
move and relax while driving. DVDs to watch, and even
sleeping along the way or at the roadside will be a
breeze. The meals quick to prepare along the way. Most
motor homes even have a generator so you have full access
to all things any time. I recommend an a couple of must
have accessories, including an awning, and cruise control.
The main only drawback is that once you set camp, you must
break camp to run to the store, or anywhere else. This
will make a towed vehicle, a great asset.

Camping is a great getaway, or even a low cost vacation.
No matter how you do it, there is something therapeutic
about it. Everyone at the camp grounds, seem a little
nicer. The MOST important thing for us to bring camping
is a good attitude.
